The 60s represents cotton yarn thickness. A higher number indicates thinner yarn. The best weights for sheet fall between the 60s and 80s, for the right softness but durable enough to resist several washes.

Sateen weaves are tightly spun and heavier in weight compared to plain and twill weaves. Its surface has less intercepting warp and weft yarn resulting in a smooth and comfy touch.
